"When the eagle of north america and the condor of        south america unite, the spirit of peace will awaken"

THE PROPHECY OF THE ENCOUNTER OF THE EAGLE AND THE CONDOR

HONORING OUR AMERICAN LAND AND ITS ORIGINAL PEOPLES

The prophecy of the Encounter of the Eagle and the Condor talks about the reintegration of the peoples of the world.
In the beginning humanity was united being in harmony with nature. A time came when it divided itself by following two different paths.
The way of the Eagle: Represented by the North, this is associated with the masculine energy and the power of the mind. This group enabled great intellectual achievements and extraordinary capacity to build things. Those on this path accumulated great material wealth. However, they suffer from great spiritual emptiness.
The path of the Condor is represented by the South and is deeply connected to the feminine energy and the softness of the heart. This group has developed intuition and the ability to live in harmony with nature. However, those on this path have difficulties in relating to the material world when compared to the technological development achieved by those on the Aguila path.
None of the groups can survive alone. Reunification will honor both groups and overcome current crises: wars, injustice, imbalance, and disasters.
The prophecy says that, after a period of intense crises those who followed the path of the Eagle and those who followed the path of the Condor will fly together and healing will happen. In alliance with Mother Earth they will bring peace, balance and the re-awakening of humanity.
Throughout America Natives people lived in harmony with Nature, making offerings to the Pachamama, thanking their generosity. The people of all America are united by deep roots. We celebrate those roots today by starting with a ceremony that enacts the prophecy of the Encounter of the Eagle and the Condor.
In this ceremony, honoring the legacy of the ancestors, Mexica-Aztec dancers welcome the Peruvian community embodied by four Peruvian women representing their Inca, Moche and Shipibo cultures on behalf of the diversity of cultures from the Andes, Coast, and the Rainforest of our beloved Peru.
We the Condors have come from Santa Tierra Peru, bringing from the Andes the Inca’s Apu Ausangate energy, The Coastal Mamacocha’s energy, the Rainforest Sachamama and Yacumama’s energy. We the Condors ask permission to the Mexicas, the Aztecs, the Tongva’s Santa Tierra Hollywood and its Apu Hollywood, to Santa Tierra California and its Apu Shasta, to Santa Tierra of the United States of North America and its ancestors, permission to walk this land, fly to the sky, to bathe in these waters, and to become part of it.
May this encounter strengthen the bonding between us and extend to all nations.
